Wedding Welcome Basket

Looking for a great way to welcome out-of-town guests and thank them for traveling to witness your nuptials?  Present them with a gift basket filled with local treats and a special thank-you card. Here are some great options for fillers:

  • Fruits from local orchards/farmers
  • Gourmet candies from a favorite chocolatier
  • Gift cards or coupons to local tourist attractions (Museums, art galleries, winery tours, etc.)
  • Tickets to a game played by a local college or professional team
  • A disposable camera
  • A favorite poem or framed picture of you and your betrothed
  • A list of local restaurants/menus that deliver to the hotel or are within walking distance
  • A blank photo album for recording the memories they make, since their helping you make one of your own
  • A nice bottle of wine/champagne from a local winery
  • A pair of monogrammed wine glasses and Big Dot’s elegant Love Coasters

If you know which hotel your guests are staying at, you can drop the basket off the morning of their arrival and ask that it be given to them when they check in. Alternatively, you can present it to them at the rehearsal dinner (you should always invite out-of-town guests).

Remember, your loved ones have cleared their calendar and braved hectic travel conditions. Welcome baskets are a great way to show your appreciation for their presence and to let your guests know that you care.
