A Little Bit of Pampering Can Make Your Pooch Feel Like a Princess

Remember as a little girl dressing up in your moms dresses and high heels, putting on make-up and jewelry and strutting around the house? Remember sitting down to a tea party with all of your favorite dolls and stuff animals in attendance and feeling like the most special person in the whole wide world?  It’s every little girls dream to be a princess, so why not give your furry four legged friend the same kind of dream.  Here are a couple of things as pet owners we can do to make our pets feel like a princess.

Show Attention – One of the easiest ways to show your pet attention is taking them for a daily walk. Not only is the exercise good for both you and your pet, but it shows them that you are attentive to their needs and doing it on a daily basis will give your pet a sense of routine.

Give Them Some Bling – The old saying Diamonds are a girls best friend really is true, but if you’re like me you probably can’t afford to have your furry friend sporting a diamond studded collar.  While there are several company’s that sell fancy dog collars Diva Dog Collars has a wonderful selection that won’t break the bank. Watch your pooch strut her stuff when she sports a blinged out collar.

Dine Out – From a quick service sandwich shop to the fanciest sit-down restaurant dining with your pet is now a reality.  A quick Google search and you will find more than one website with a list of pet friendly restaurants.

Book a Day at the Spa – Put away the garden hose and the kiddie pool and schedule a day at the spa.  Pet boutiques are popping up everywhere offering such services as bathing, brushing, teeth cleaning, nail trim and polish, facials, coat conditioners and even paw pad treatments.   Mani – Pedi’s aren’t just for humans any more.

Whether you choose one or all of these ideas I have no doubt in my mind your pooch will definitely feel like a princess.

I am easy going, married and the mother of two adult boys. I love the Green Bay Packers, a good laugh and the change in seasons that the upper mid-west has to offer, although I am quietly dreaming of retiring in the warmth of the south someday. In my spare time you will find me traveling, motorcycling, doing crossword puzzles, or reading a good mystery.
