Give your puppy party guests an extra-special doggie bag party favor with these {almost} homemade dog treats. Made from a puppy cake mix with a minor adjustment to the ingredients, these soft dog cookies are the perfect treat!

I used a box Puppy Cake mix to make these super easy dog biscuits. You can use any flavor, simply add all the ingredients – except for the water. Then slowly add the water until you have a bread dough consistency.

With some whole wheat flour on my counter top, I rolled out spoon-fulls of dough into long strips, like making a pretzel. Then I wrapped them around themselves into a coil. These were baked for the shortest time listed on the box and they turned out perfectly.
 

The frosting was made in the same way as the dough. I mixed in small amounts of water until I had the right consistency to spoon onto the top of the dog cookies.

After a little while drying, they were ready to packaged into clear treat bags and tie off with a custom tag in our Boy Puppy Party theme. Adorbs!
