Height and layers at a buffet table or candy buffet is a quick way to make an event stand out among the rest. DIY cupcake stands will give your event the personal touch that makes your party memorable, all while providing a decorative place to display your tasty treats.
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner so if you have chosen Modern Ladybug party theme, now is the time to stock up on the plates and dividers to coordinate your DIY cupcake stand. With Easter and spring on the way, it will soon be time to hunt for items that will coordinate with other baby shower or birthday party themes, like Mommy Silhouette or Under the Sea Critters. Gather the pastels now, then when the summer colors are out, pair your light color plates with a coordinating, darker hue plates and your guests will certainly be impressed.
Start with three coordinating plates and two dividers. This tutorial was under $5 – plates were $1 each in the seasonal isle and the dividers were $.97 in the home décor area, all from my local big-box store, and it used less and 1/2 of a hot glue stick.
Hot glue one divider to the bottom plate, then add a ring of glue to the top and attach the bottom of the second plate.
Repeat the process for the third tier and you quickly have a treat stand uniquely your own.
