Cake pops make a delicious baby shower or birthday party favor all while doubling as an impressive table centerpiece, greeting guests as they arrive. The addition of a die-cut tag personalized with the name of the guest of honor creates a DIY party favor that can’t be beat.
Die-cut tags are offered in all of the Big Dot themes and personalized for free, so making this adorable centerpiece display suit your event is quick and easy.
Simply find containers in coordinating colors, such as new flowerpots, fun coffee mugs or vases from your local craft store or shopping center. Add a square of floral foam or other Styrofoam to the inside so the sticks of your cakes pops have something to hold them up. If you use floral foam, do not follow the usage instructions it comes with; you will not need to soak it prior to use as you will not be using it for living things.
After fitting the foam to the inside of the container, arrange the cake pops and cover the foam with floral moss, Easter basket grass, glass gems or acrylic ice crystals. You can also add silk flowers or greenery to liven up the arrangement.
Along with a personalized die-cut tag, your guests are sure to love any addition you choose to add to your cake pop centerpiece.
Have you created your own edible centerpiece for an event? We’d love to see it! Submit your event photos via the tab at the right and you may be featured in an upcoming blog post.
